Holloween

It's here at last and all the scary little creatures are coming to the door. Holly was all excited to see the kids. Some were princesses as well as scary faces. Everyone had alot of fun, kids and grownups alike.

Three More Days Till Holloween

It's just three more days until Holloween and the ghosts and goblins will be arriving at our door shouting "Trick or Treat". Our little Holly, our little dog, will be so excited. She just loves kids and anyone, for that matter. I better get the candy organized and quit eating it.

New Job

Got a new job selling soft ice cream cones, malts, sundaes, shakes and banana splits. Yum Yum. It is so much fun to wait on people and have them come in happy to get ice cream and even happier to go out eating their treats. It's a great job!

Birthdays

Birthdays come and birthdays go but some birthdays are very special. Many beloved family members have birthdays this month as well as good friends. Must get the cards in the mail and put a smile on their faces, I hope.

Time flies, doesn't it?

Where did all the days go? The month is more than half over. It is time to stock up on candy for treats for the kids for Trick & Treat and I like to eat them too :0)

Got it done!

Well got it all done yesterday and a little besides. Won't be long and the next Holiday will be Holloween. Gotta get the pumpkin out & hang it in the window. It's made of some sort of plastic of fiberglas. It is very colorful and never wears out. It is so neat!

What a day!

Work, work, work - errands to run - Post Office, Bank, Drug store, groceries, fill the car up with gas. Picking up the mail is a daily job since they don't deliver directly to the house. Keeps a person hopping.

Beautiful Day

It's a beautiful day today. Flowers are still blooming and the Mums are gorgeous. It won't be long until frost begins to nip them and spoil them, but we'll enjoy them as long as we can.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our wedding anniversary. You would never guess how many years it has been but it has been happy years with children growing up so quickly. We'll probably go out for a steak to celebrate, wouldn't you?

I've been thinking.

I've been thinking as I watch the kids riding their bikes all over the neighborhood. When I was 12 I had a paper route, but I didn't have a bike. Then the newspaper company set up a plan to take $1 a week out of our profits for 40 weeks and we could get a brand new Columbia bike. I was in seventh heaven when I got my new bike!!

Leaves, leaves, leaves!

I hate to rake. Wish the wind would shift and blow them all into the neighbors yard. If I'm lucky that will happen this year. It's happened before. A rake just doesn't fit my hand well any more.
