Thanksgiving/Birthday

Today is Thanksgiving but it is also our son's birthday so it is a double celebration. Isn't that neat. He was born the day before Thanksgiving and I spent that Thanksgiving in the hospital but it was well worth it.

My brother's birthday

Today is my little brother's birthday. He is 3 years younger than I am. I remember the night he was born. I was about 3 yrs and 3 months old. My Dad and I were sleeping at the top of the stairs on a blanket and down below in the big room, lay my Mom with the doctor. The doctor called out to us. "Your little brother is here." My Dad and I went right down and there lay my Mom in this big bed with a white bedspread on it and tucked under her arm was a little black haired head. And there he was! My little brother. They didn't know in those days whether it would be a girl or a boy, but they told me I would have a little brother. I have always wondered how it would have affected me if he had been a little sister.

November already?

Can it be November already? Next we'll be buying a turkey, cranberry sauce and all the trimmings. All the families will be getting together and having a great time stuffing the bird and then themselves. A little snow has made its appearance, but not much. Glad of that. Too early for alot of snow.
