Setting Sail for a 1,000 Day Cruise

He is 53 years old and a veteral of long-distance sailing in all kinds of weather. His girlfriend, who is 23, has never sailed outside the Hudson River. They are starting on a voyage they intended to take them three times around the globe and last 1,000 days and nights. They don't plan to stop at ports for supplies or walk on solid ground. It will be non-stop. If they succeed, their time away from land will surpass the 657 days spent at sea by Australian Jon Sanders who circumnavigated the globe three times from 1986 to 1988. It will be quite a trip.
