Stop Smoking
Smoking but can't stop? Have you been smoking since you were a kid and you know you should stop but you just haven't been able to do it? Well, the American Cancer Society has come up with a new program to help you stop smoking. They are looking for people who enjoy working with groups and are committed to health maintenance through good self-care. Other qualities are empathy, perceptiveness, a good sense of humor and effective communication. The program is called Freshstart and people interested in joining as facilitators do not need to be former tobacco users, but applicants must be smoke-free for at least six months. They have set up a meeting at Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa, Tuesday, April 10 for those who are interested in taking part in this new program to help smokers quit.Call 1-800-468-0050 to learn more about Freshstart.
