Hummingbirds

It must be time for the hummingbirds to migrate south. We saw our first hummingbird just now. It was the first one since we saw one this Spring. We can't figure out what happened to them. Wondered if they got caught in many of the big storms and tornadoes that we had through the country this spring. We only have one pair of Goldfinch too and they haven't even brought any young ones to the feeders this year. It has been a strange year. Now they are talking a hard winter too so suppose the Robins will be leaving early. I am still seeing some of those around. I wonder if we will see any of the other birds passing through. The Monarch butterflies always pass through too. Won't be long, I suppose.
