Surprise Birthday Party

We got an invitation to a Surprise Birthday Party next month. We are going to go because the person is really a neat person and we think a lot of them. Over the years, I had more surprise parties for my husband's birthdays than I could ever count. I used to fix a big supper and invite all his brothers and sisters and their husbands and I don't know how I pulled it off, but he never found out about any of them. I told him 8 years ago I was done with the Surprise Parties. He always complained but down deep I know he enjoyed every one of them. I think the last 2 we had a week early or we could never have surprised him. He didn't have a single birthday party or cake when he was growing up. He was probably 22 before he got a birthday cake and a present. Kind of sad isn't it?
