Honeybees

I heard the other day that the Honeybees are making a comeback. I certainly hope so because a great deal of our food supply depends on them. People do not realize how great a part the little Honeybee takes in helping provide our food. There still seems to be a mysterious combination of ailments that is killing off Honeybees but it has slowed down slightly giving us a ray of hope.

In the last two years the U. S. Department of Agriculture had found that beekeepers had lost 32 percent one year and 36 percent another of all their hives. It has been puzzling scientists who call it a colony collapse disorder. It causes adult bees to inexplicably forsake their broods. The bees seem now to also appear to be suffering from other ailments. Hope they can find the cause before they all disappear.
