Big Black Bear on The Farm

A man was out checking his field when he came across a 6' 10" 300 pound black bear. It was on a farm just 4 miles west of a little town in Iowa. It met hi on a trail and there wasn't room to go either way. When the bear charged he shot it three times with a .300 caliber Winchester rifle. No license is needed to shoot bears in this State. They are sure he is a wild one as he looked like he had never been in a cage. There are a few exotic animal farms around but you never hear of any getting loose. The farmer was concerned for the safety of the cattle in the area.
