Birthdays

The 17th of July is a special day in my life. My oldest great granddaughter is 17 today on the 17th. My husband retired on July 17th some years ago, my son-in-law's birthday is today and the next door neighbor's birthday is today too. So it is quite a popular day. I have all these notes written on my calendar and it is quite full. A calendar becomes almost a history book.

New Computer

My son brought me a new computer.  Mine died after quite a few years of use.  I have been using a laptop in the meantime.  So glad to have it to fall back on.  It is good to keep up with everyone by email and I like to send ecards too.  Of course, every day I check into Facebook to see what my friends are up to.  Lots of birthdays to celebrate this time of the year.   It's been a long cold winter so it is good to have something to do besides watch TV.  Many days it was just too cold to go anywhere, not even to go out and get the mail.  Had a couple blizzards too.

Grandchildren Birthdays

One of my twin daughter has 8 grandchildren.  It is really something that all their birthdays fall in November
 and December.  It is like many times Christmas, over and over and it isn't even Christmas time yet. I don't know how they figure out what to get them when they also have to shop for Christmas.  Four of our kids were in November and December too so I know what they are going thru.  We used to get them mainly clothes for birthdays and maybe a game so there was something left to buy for Christmas.

Birthday Cards

This has really been a week of birthdays. My sister's birthday was Tuesday. My daughter-in-law's birthday was Wednesday and my sister-in-law's birthday is Sunday. The Post Office wants to raise postage again and I really don't mind. There is no easier way to get a personal card to someone out of town that by the snail mail as they call it these days. I sent the ecards too but it is always nice to get something in the mail.

Birthdays

We had 3 family birthdays this past week. Our daughter-in-law, my sister, and our sister-in-law all had birthdays in the same week just 4 days apart. I went to the store and got a bunch of birthday cards and anniversary cards too. It won't be long and it will be graduation cards too. It's a good thing I have everything written on the calendar or I would probably forget one of them.

Flowers

Today is our son's 50th birthday. That is a special one. Wishing him the best birthday ever. Have sent him a card but will send an eCard too.

Birthdays

We have more birthdays in January than any other month I think. My very good neighbor's birthday is today. I need to get over there with a card.
