Beautiful Great Granddaughter

I have a new great granddaughter and she is growing up so fast. She smiles all the time. She is sitting up alone now. She has fun with other little cousins. I am sure I am prejudiced, but of course my great grandchildren are all more cute than others. I have l7 now and will soon have 18. What a blessing.

Cousins

These two little cousins are going to have a great time growing up together. They are only 13 days apart. Both of them are going to have a new brother or sister in late November or early December. It will really be neat to see the next two growing up together too with these cousins. Their Grandpa and Grammy are so proud of them as are we, Great Grandpa and Great Grammy. They are so much fun because they are no work for us :0)

Cousins

I got to see a lot of my cousins today that I had not seen in years. Also got to see their children, who are now adults and met their husbands and wives. It was like a family reunion only it was a funeral. But it was a happy funeral as we know my Aunt is in Heaven now with her family and husband. Before she died, she saw them and told her two children she could see them calling to her. I think that is really something. We know she died happy so it was really a celebration of her life, not of her death.

5th of July

Yup! That is what I said - the 5th of July. That is going to be a big day this year too. My brother-in-law is going to be 82 that day. And we have all planned something special for the day. All the cousins of our two families grew up together. Some of them haven't really seen them or had a chance to really visit with them in years because they have been busy with their own families, jobs, etc. But we are having a huge BBQ and lots of food and all the cousins, their kids and their kids' kids. It will be quite a gang. The farthest away is in Indiana and they are coming too. I know we will all have a wonderful time and hope the weather cooperates.

We got some photos today in our email. They were of cousins that got together a couple weeks ago. We hadn't seen this one cousin for maybe 48 or so years. She was probably 8 last time I saw her and now she is 55. She got to meet all her Aunts and Uncles who could come and get acquainted with family. She had no idea she had so much family. She got to go to her home town too and visit everyone there. She lives in San Diego now. It was a fun time with her going thru old photo albums and re-living alot of past memories.

UNCLE HERMAN

UNCLE HERMAN FELL A WEEK AGO IN THE KITCHEN BEFORE GOING TO BED. WE SAW HIM ON TUESDAY AND HE WAS IN TERRIBLE PAIN EVEN WITH PAIN PILLS. THURSDAY HE CALLED HIS ARTHRITIS DOCTOR AND GOT IN TO SEE HIM. THEY TOOK X-RAYS AND TOLD HIM HE HAS CRACKS IN 3 VERTEBRAE IN HIS NECK AND CANNOT GO TO WORK FOR THREE WEEKS UNTIL THESE HEAL.HE WAS GOING TO GO TO THE CHIROPRACTOR AND THE DOCTOR TOLD HIM IT WAS A GOOD THING HE CAME TO HIM FIRST BECAUSE IF THE CHIRO HAD WORKED ON HIS NECK HE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN PARALYZED FOR LIFE. AT HIS AGE WE WONDER IF THEY WILL EVER HEAL. HE HAS BEEN BENDING OVER FOR YEARS BUT NOW HIS CHIN IS ABOUT ON HIS CHEST AND HE CAN'T EVEN SHAVE UNDER THERE ANYMORE.BARB IS STILL IN PHYSICAL THERAPHY BUT SHE SAYS SHE HAS ALOT OF PAIN IF THEY DON'T PUT HER KNEE IN THE AUTOMATIC EXERCISING MACHINE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY STOPPED THAT. SHE GOES A COUPLE TIMES A WEEK FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS YET. MICHELLE HELPED THEM OUT FOR 4 DAYS BUT 4 DAYS OF A 3 YEAR OLD AROUND WAS ALL THEY COULD STAND AT THEIR AGE ;0)ALSO UNCLE FRANK USED SALVE ON HIS OTHER EAR THEY THOUGHT WAS SKIN CANCER, BUT IT WASN'T AND WHATEVER IT WAS WENT AWAY. PRAISE THE LORD!
