Birthday

It is my brother's birthday today.  I took him a card and gifts.  Also took a meal over and we sat and visited quite awhile.  He had surgery on his back awhile back and he was ready for a nap after we had visited awhile.  He was watching a hillarious program on TV and it was really funny.  I enjoyed spending time with him after church.

His New Car

My little great grandson got his first car.  He is having a ball with it.  They get wheels pretty early these days.  You can see what a great time he is having.  He has a birthday coming up soon.  Maybe he will get even bigger wheels. You never know.  The next thing you know, he'll be riding a bike with training wheels but think it will be a little while yet.

Cars and Birthdays

It seems to be expected that a child will get a car when they turn 16. The neighbor boy got a good used car for his birthday. He also got quite a bit of money in cards. He said he was happy to see the money for gas. His folks invited me over to enjoy the celebration with a great deal of good food. Having a big lunch will carry me over where I won't need supper. It was fun having conversations with folks I know but don't get to see that often. It rained a little but finally stopped. Just enough to get the grass wet.

Great Grandchildren

We had a great time with 5 of the great grandchildren last Friday night. We were celebrating a birthday in the family. Went to a great restaurant with great food. I had the best baked sweet potato that I think I have ever had. Anyway, when the kids were done eating, they decided to take over an empty booth by us and play they were eating and serving as waiters. It's a wonder the restaurant didn't kick us all out but by then it was late and business had really slowed down.

Father and Son

Don't you think this is a good picture of a father and his oldest son? The picture was taken at my birthday party and we sure had a good time. It is good that we can all get together for a good meal and have a good time together. We are getting up in years and the "kids" are middle aged but still kids to us. These are precious moments to remember.

He's Two Years Old

Look who is two years old. His birthday was Friday the 13th. That was a lucky day for him. He got to blow out some candles for his birthday and then had a big party at home on Saturday. I wish we could have gone but I had to be at a baby shower for another great grandchild that is on the way. Emry is the cutest little boy with the cutest expressions. It is so much fun to watch him discover new things.

Happy Birthday

Yesterday, our little great granddaughter turned 2 years old. I remember when our oldest turned 2. Her dad got her the first tricycle and teddy bear she ever had. We have pictures of her on the tricycle and she was excited. It is fun to see how excited they get. When they reach 2, they can really appreciate opening gifts more and Christmas will really be fun for her.

Celebration

We are going out for supper tomorrow night at a fairly new restaurant. We are going to celebrate a birthday and that is always fun. Our grandson and his wife and little son will be there and we haven't seen them in a long time. That makes it extra special. Our son-in-law and daughter will also be there and we will all have a great time.

I am still on crutches but I get along well with them. My knee swelling is finally going down too. I have physical therapy again this afternoon. They have me down to twice a week instead of 3 times. We are blessed it is right here in town and we don't have to travel out of town each time for therapy like we used to have to do.

How Old Am I?

Can you guess. I bet you can't. I had a birthday yesterday and it was a great day. We went to lunch with one of our daughters and son-in-law and a grandson. He drove quite aways to be there and that was a real surprise to see him drive up at the restaurant. We had a wonderful Mexican meal and then headed home for a good visit.

Caribbean Cruise

It is almost time for my birthday and My Ideal Cruise Vacation to celebrate my birthday would be to take a Caribbean cruise that would take in as many of the beautiful islands as possible, such as St. Maarten and St. Thomas . I have always wanted to do some scuba diving and St. Thomas would be the ideal place to do this. Shopping along the way on the cruise, of course, has always been my dream and what a way to celebrate a birthday. I would love to get a couple new outfits to wear on the balance of the cruise, as well as, to take them home.

The cruise ships are a delight in themselves. There is much to do during the day and the nightlife is fantastic as well. During the day, you will find delight in their 9 hole golf course or swimming in the pool or enjoy the spas. Be as busy as you like, or just lie back in your lounge chair and watch a movie on a beautiful screen especially there for your pleasure.

But of course, the food is fantastic and served at all times and so many choices to delight the pallet. The chefs really do themselves proud pleasing you with not only tasty dishes but so beautiful to see at the same time. Dressing for the evening or swimsuit in daytime, you have such a variety of choices. I would love to take in the water slide especially as I know it would be so much fun. Cruising the beautiful waters of the Caribbean is such a wonder in itself.

Birthday

I have a birthday coming up in 2 weeks. We are planning to go to a restaurant that gives you your supper free on your birthday. We have done that every year and are going to do it again this year. We can both have a delicious filet steak supper and only have to pay for one. They have a really good steak there. My husband thinks they are the best around. I am looking forward to it.

Birthday

The end of the month is my husband's birthday. It is a special one and we are going out for supper with our daughter and her husband. That will be fun. We have a baby shower for our granddaughter that same day so it will be a busy day. Tomorrow is his checkup so he can have cataract surgery next Wednesday. He will be glad to see clearly again.
