New Baby

Another new baby has been added to our extended family.  Here is little Kimberly who was born a few days ago.  She was a big baby.  She weighed in at 8 lbs 13 1/2 oz.  She has a big brother who thinks she is pretty nice.  They have a nice family now with a boy and a girl.  She will be getting lots of attention from her Grandmother, my cousin.  Babies are such a wonderful miracle and gift from God.

New Great Granddaughter

Last week, I gained a new great granddaughter. Her name is Rylynn Rose. That makes 5 great granddaughters now and 8 great grandsons.

Isn't she a beautiful little girl? Boys really outnumber the girls in our family, so there is almost a celebration of sorts extra for a girl, although we love them all.

New Baby

We are expecting a new baby on November 22. It will be my 12th great grandchild. No, we don't know if it is a girl or a boy. The parents want to be surprised. There are few surprises in life and this can be one of them. I agree. We are all betting on a boy though but we could be surprised there too. No matter whether it is a girl or a boy, we will all love this little blessing from God.

New Grandparents

That first grandchild is always so special. This is the first grandchild for these folks. It is a little girl. They have two daughters of their own. The great grandparents are pretty happy too. It is their first great grandchild as well. Babies have a special place in our hearts. They grow up too fast though. But every day there is something new about them, something new to enjoy.

New Great Granddaughter

We got a new great granddaughter about 8:30 last night. Her name is Ava Marie. Marie was my great grandmother's name. We only have three other great granddaughters so she is special. We have 6 great grandsons. So now there are a total of 10. We are blessed. No. 11 is on the way and due for arrival in July 2011. We have 14 grandchildren so the greats are catching up with them fast.

What is it?

What is the new baby going to be? A boy or a girl? The parents didn't want to know in advance so they are in for a happy surprise. The grandparents and great grandparents are eagerly waiting for the news too. It is more fun not to know and to be surprised, I think. We have 2 more coming in the next couple weeks and we know they are going to be boys so that takes the surprise out of those. But they are all blessings.

New Baby

Called Texas today and talked with my grandson about his new 9 lb son. He looks alot like him from the pictures we have gotten in email. His folks will be heading down there tomorrow to see the baby and stay with them for a week. I am glad they didn't go today as the winds are ab out 40 mph or more and nearly blow you off the road. I don't think there are any high profile vehicles out there on the road tonight. It is dangerously windy and blowing the heat right out of the house. Glad we have a good furnace.

Boy or Girl?

What is the new baby going to be, a boy or a girl? We are all taking guesses. Our son-in-law and daughter are expecting 2 grandchildren at the same time and they will be first time grandparents at the same time too. That is because they have twins, a boy and a girl and both sets of parents are expecting babies this weekend. We haven't heard any news yet and it is getting very exciting. They will be traveling to Minnesota when this baby arrives and we don't know what it will be. The other baby is in Texas and is to be a little boy. Wow!
