Severe Storms

We have had hardly any rain for a very long time.  We are in deep drought and could use as much as 16 inches to soak down into the ground to be normal.  All the crops are out already and the elevators look bare.  Now the weatherman says it is going to warm up tomorrow.  It was 20 this morning.  Then we are to have severe storms starting in mid afternoon.  We could have strong winds, hail and even tornadoes are possible.  I sure hope that doesn't happen.  Quite a few years ago, a town 17 miles away from us was hit by an F5 tornado in October so it is completely possible.  I hope we just get a good soaking rain.  We sure need it.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning

I heard just a bit ago that there is a severe thunderstorm west of us. I hope it doesn't come our way. There has been so much bad weather all over the United States. So many trees have been blown down in strong winds. And the fires in Arizona are terrible. Flooding is just entering our state again from the Missouri river. There has already been so much flooding from the Mississippi river. I hope we don't hear any tornado sirens tonight.
