Bobcat Season Possible In Iowa

Can you believe it? Bobcats have gotten so plentiful in Iowa that they are considering having a legal hunt. They were once an endangered species but now there are so many they are talking of having a bobcat hunt and trapping season to run from Nov. 3 to Jan. 31 or until a quota of 150 animals is taken. That's a little scary isn't it. We have heard that bobcats have been hit by cars in southern Iowa and I guess that is where they are the most populated. They can't remember in the history of Iowa when there ever had to be such a hunt. It would be one day, hunting and trapping could be allowed throughout much of the state. We'll see.
