Honey Bees
Now folks - this is downright scary. Unless someone or something stops killing the honeybees soon, it is going to affect what you eat - or rather what you don't eat. we could be reduced to a diet of bread and water and they aren't kidding. I heard on the news that they think perhaps the waves from the cell phone towers are upsetting the bees homing signals and they are getting so confused they don't know where to find their hives. They get so worn out, they just fall to the ground dead and people have seen many honey bees dead on the ground, so it is really happening. We think of them as making honey but that is only one of the things they do. They pollinate more than 90 of the tastiest flowering crops we have. Actually one-third of our diet comes from insect pollinated plants and the honeybee is responsible for 80 percent of that pollination. Cattle feed on alfalfa and that is another of the crops the bees pollinate. This is a huge threat to our food supply. I guess they think they will know by the end of the summer. Honeybees add about $15 billion a year in value to our food supply. We could actually be reduced to nothing to eat but grains and water. No kidding. This is not a fairy tale, it is a true fact. watch the news and read your newspapers.
