Lots of Good News Today

Got two good phone calls today. First our son called and said they got good news for his wife at the doctor's today. They feel they got all the cancer and it was Stage 1, the earliest you can catch it, thanks to the mammogram she had. And she doesn't need to have any chemotheraphy, just the radiation they talked about before. She will go to the next town, about 16 miles east of there for 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Side effects are a little tiredness towards the end of it. Then they will put her on a medicine for 5 years that will stop the cancer from growing anymore.

Then we got a call from our brother-in-law saying that his skin cancer by his ear has not returned. It is scar tissue and he doesn't have to go back for a year. Also on the other ear, they thought some had started but it is a cyst that will change sizes from time to time but nothing to worry about.

Also a niece in Dallas that was in a terrible car accident that wasn't her fault, is slowing coming out of the coma. A coma is rated 1 to 15 and she was a 2. Now she is a 7 and yesterday she opened her eyes and looked at her two daughters for a long long time before shutting them again. That was good news too. They have moved her to a special care unit just two blocks from a sister and brother-in-law and they can walk to see her. It's been a good day.
