Children "Meet New Friends"

This sounds good, but actually it is not good. More children are meeting up with people they first encountered on the internet and their parents know nothing about it. It has been suggested many times that the computer be put in the living room or family room so that your children can be watched more closely to see who they are talking with online. There are too many preditors out there, just waiting to contact the right child and draw them out into a clandestine meeting where they may be raped or murdered. Children are too often impressed by the attention and compliments these preditors give them over the internet. You can't watch your children too closely. Keep them safe, parents. Keep a close check on their computer activities.
