Prices At the Pump?
Prices at the pump may be going up again as crude oil futures settled at $68 a barrel. This was the highest close since September. The prospect, that gas prices at the pump could stabilize, was raised as gasoline futures extended their rally. But they could rise again after several weeks of lowering. According to analysts, oil prices were boosted by unrest in the Middle East Also, investors moved money from fixed income to commodities because they were encouraged by a lower than expected core inflation figure. Oil futures also followed the lead of gas futures.
