Should Doctor's Prescribe Exercise

How about you? Would you be more likely to exercise if the doctor wrote you a prescription for exercise? Chances are, I wouldn't, but many others might. Two University of Michigan physicians say that it is important for primary care doctors to councel their patients about the benefits of exercise and physical activity. One way would be to show the patient the connection between the patient's sedentary lifestyle and the medical problems he or she may be having. They shared a number of ways doctors could approach the subject of exercise. Exercise is good for everyone whether they have health problems or not.
