Rex Humbard, TV Evangelist, Dies at 88

Rex Humbard died Friday at the age of 88 at a Florida hospital close to his Home. He was one of the premier televangelists in the United States. He was once a traveling preacher but he began using television to reach his audience in the l950's and by the l970's he was known across the globe for his services. He had many admirers of the Cathedral of Tomorrow broadcasts. Elvis Presley was one of them and he spoke at Elvis' funeral. He was the ultimate role model in showing love and caring about other people over and above himself, according to his grandson Rex Humbard III.
