US Approves North Korea Nuclear Plan
The US has approved a plan to disable North Korea's main nuclear facilities by the end of the year. A state department spokesman said the US had endorsed the statement, drafted during the six nation talks on Sunday. The top US negotiator in North Korea said the US would be heavily involved in disablement work under the plan. Pyongyang tested a nuclear device last year but agreed to end its nuclear program in return for aid. It has already closed its main reactor.
