Hugo Chavez Vows no Ties with Colombia
Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said he will have no type of relationship with the Colombian government while it is headed by President Alvaro Uribe. He said he could not, out of dignity. The Venezuelan government announced on Tuesday that it was withdrawing its ambassador to Colombia. Mr. Uribe abruptly ended Mr. Chavez's efforts last week to broker a hostage exchange with Colombian rebels.
