Death Penalty - New Jersey

New Jersey lawmakers have approved a bill abolishing the death penalty. They took a vote and in a 44-36 vote, the Democratic-run senate assembly replaced the death sentence with life in prison without parole. I believe the bill was signed into law today by Democratic Governor Jon Corzine, an opponent of the death penalty. They talk a lot about it being cruel and inhuman punishment to put a man to death but what about his victims. No one ever talks about the cruel and inhuman punishment that was caused to them when they were murdered.
