Food Poisoning Deaths Increase in China

First it was the big toy recall and now they say food poisoning deaths rose in China by about one-third in 2007. The Ministry of Health over there said 258 people were killed last year, up 32 percent from the previous year. That report said that while the number of deaths rose in 2007, overall cases of food poisoning fell to 506, 26 percent less than the previous year. It is pretty hard to verify whether these figures included all the food poisoning cases in China, since the country has 1.3 billion people. I don't think I would trust the food or anything else there anymore.
