MetLife Adds Wal-Mart Executive to Their Board

MetLife has been one of my insurance companies for a very long time. In fact they are the biggest U.S. life insurer. They have named Eduardo Castro-Wright, chief of U.S. outlets for Wal-Mart Stores Inc., to its board. He is 53 and joined Wal-Mart's Mexico unit in 2001 and has also had executive roles at Honeywell International Inc.'s Asia division. He started March 3. MetLife's revenue is growing more than three times faster outside the United States than inside. Fourth quarter sales in Korea more than doubled as MetLife introduced new retirement products.
