Home Depot to CLose 15 Store in 10 States

Four years ago, Home Depot Chief Executive Bob Nardelli made the bold prediction that the home improvement retailer could sustain unlimited growth without significantly affecting sales at its established stores. Well he was wrong. Now, under different leadership, with a different growth philosophy and in a troubled housing market, the company put the brakes on some of its expansion plans. They said it would do what was previously unthinkable: close 15 of its underperforming stores. It will be the first time the world's largest home improvement chain has closed stores for performance reasons. This will affect 1300 employees.
