Consumers Give up Small 'Financial 'Vices

During the years of prosperity, the consumers were spending $4 a day on coffee and not just your ordinary coffee but "latte" and all the Starbucks coffees. But now they have begun to rethink the wisdom of such habits. Especially when that adds up and so much is going into their gas tanks. As inflation squeezes budgets, middle class Americans are taking a good look at their spending in search of ways to save a nickel or a dime. The result: Refilling those water bottles with filtered water from home instead of paying $1.39 a bottle. It cuts down on landfill too and helps the "green" effect.
