239 MPH Crash

Can you even get your mind around going 239 miles per hour on a motorcycle? I can't even begin to imagine how that must have felt to be going that fast. It must have been akin to flying. But that is what Cliff Gullett, a 47 year old motorcycle racer from Bozeman, Montana did. He was a racer and he died when he lost control and crashed while traveling 239 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats during a time trial. He was competing in the 500cc Streamliner class at the Salt Flats. That is where drivers go to set speed records every summer because it is a good flat, open space. It is located just east of the Nevada state line.
