Rain Storm

We had quite a rain storm last night. We went out for supper locally and the sky just kept getting darker and darker. Just as we left the restaurant, it began to sprinkle so we hurried home and into the garage as it began to rain. We had to hurry and close windows because it was very windy also. It got very dark and the lightning and thunder were terrific. Really scared our little dog. I unplugged the computer and everything of real importance. We have a roof antenna that it hit once and pretty much burned out everything electrical and computerized in the house so now we can unplug it. We got 3/4" of rain and thought it was over as the sun was beginning to come up with a rainbow. Hadn't seen a rainbow in years. About the time we were all settled down to watch TV, another wave of rain storms came through and dumped another 1/2" on us with lots more thunder and lightning. It was quite a light show and we stayed away from the windows. The phone even rang once which meant it hit somewhere close by. In case you are not aware, never stay on the phone during a rain storm. You can be killed if lightning hits the phone line. It has blasted wall phones right off the wall.
