Lamps

We have had a set of lamps since back in the 1970's. I have replaced the insides of them many many times. Now with the new efficient light bulbs, they are so heavy, they tend to pull the socket right out and lean over. Came home the other night and had the light on low for our dog, Holly. I went to turn up the lamp and noticed the light was awful bright on one side of the lamp shade and here the bulb had fallen over. It is a good thing that these bulbs don't burn as hot as regular bulbs or think we could have had a fire. The next day, we worked on the socket so it is good and tight now and had to put a regular bulb back in that lamp. I was on the Internet looking at lamps and couldn't believe how expensive they have become. We like the 3-way lamps for our living room and one bedroom too where I watch a lot of television.
