Sun Dogs

Do you know what a Sun Dog is? I asked a young girl yesterday because we had two huge sun dogs as the sun was beginning to set. She said she didn't know until she had heard it on a weather report. They say it is the sun's rays shining through ice crystals in the air. You sure know the air is cold when there are sun dogs. Someone got a picture of them and sent it in to the weatherman. This has been a tough winter.
