Insulated Concrete

Concrete blocks are used for many types of construction  such as residential, industrial, agricultural, just to name a few.  I know of a contractor in our town who does a tremendous job of making the basements completely dry and insulated.  Using a fine insulated concrete form that is reinforced with built-in thermal makes it much more energy efficient.  Not only that,  but you can get them so they are also fire resistant. I feel one of the most important part of any building is that the construction material used  is moisture proof, as well.  By using the right forming system, the buildings and basements can be constructed much faster also.  I am sure this will also save money in construction time and since it is energy efficient will continue to save money on heat bills.
