The Great Bike Ride Across Iowa

I can't believe how fast summer is going by. We are halfway thru July already. School starts Aug 14th. I can hardly believe it. It is all downhill after the 4th of July. Days are getting shorted and Fall is coming up fast. The Great Bike Ride across Iowa went thru 3 towns within 20-30 miles of us. I heard there were 4,000 bicycle riders that started in Western Iowa and ride across to Eastern Iowa. We had some stop by our town as they live here. The towns that were slated for overnight stops, went all out with entertainment and food for the bikers. They all had a great time. People in those towns do a sign of relief though when the bikers go on their way. They are good about picking up their trash but there always seems to be lots of cleanup afterwards anyway. Those on the bikes are having a great time and weather has been pretty good for them. No serious storms which is good.
