Advisors Endorse Tidal Power Plan

An influential UK government advisory body has endorsed proposals for a tidal barrage across the Severn estuary. Gangs in Pit Bull Smuggling Ring

A network of criminal gangs has been uncovered who supply illegal pit bull terriers for fighting. An undercover Panorama team found the dogs, which are banned in the UK, were brought into the country under false documents. The dogs were smuggled across Europe for organized fighting and Northern Ireland is the epicenter of the network. Pit bulls have been banned in the UK since 1991 and dog fighting has been illegal since the 19th century.
