Avastin Lawsuit

Breast cancer is an awful disease. Many times it can be cured, but often drugs are given to slow the growth of the tumors and all it does is prolong life. However, they have found that Avastin does not prolong life. In fact, it has many serious side effects that in themselves are life threating, thus a Avastin lawsuit has begun. In checking the Internet I was reading up on this drug and found the side effects could be heart attack, holes in the stomach, high blood pressure, and these are just a few of the side effects. If you or someone you know has suffered such side effects, they will probably want to contact an experience law firm to find out if they have a case. They will give you a free consultation.

Breast Cancer and Pregnancy

There is a new study out that will put pregnant women's minds at ease. It said that pregnant women who develop breast cancer do not have worse odds of death or of cancer returning than other young breast cancer patients. Dr. Beth Beadle of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is the author of the study being published now. She said if they can get them early, they can treat them aggressively and have good and promising outcomes for both woman and child. This is really good news.

Christina Applegate has Breast Cancer

Christina Applegate is only 36 years old and has been nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe for the show "Samantha Who?". In this, she plays a woman who wakes from a coma without a memory of who she is. In 1987 she was a ditzy teenager Kelly Bundy on "Married..With Children". Now she is undergoing treatment for breast cancer but the disease was caught early and they expect her to fully recover. It was detected through an MRI and they say it is not life-threatening. She is going to appear on a television special on the three major networks to raise money for cancer research.

Cancer Benefit

Next Saturday is a cancer benefit for our niece who is dying of breast cancer. They thought they got it all 2years ago and then it returned with a vengeance. She is only 45 years old with a husband and two sons, 16 and 18. The oldest graduates in May and it is unlikely his Mom will be around to see it. It is very sad and the whole family is taking it very hard which is normal. I hope there is a huge turnout for the benefit. They will have pork sandwiches and afterwards, a silent auction and regular auction in the gymnasium of their church. They will be busing people from a nearby parking lot and people directing traffic as it is located on a main State Highway. I sure do wish they could find a cure for breast cancer as it takes the lives of so many between the ages of 30 and 50. I think they should start the mammograms at 30 if they haven't already done so.
