Doctor Appointment

Here we go again. Another snow storm and it was not even officially winter yet. However, it is finally officially winter and boy does it look like it. We got another 3-4 inches of snow. But that wasn't bad enough, we had to get rain on top of it. At least the snow quit blowing but it is hard as a rock. I shoveled some away from the front of the garage door and it came up in chunks. The landlord had done the big part with his Bobcat. But the rain has made it so slippery on the roads that we had to cancel a doctor appointment and reschedule for next week. I sure hope it doesn't storm again that day.

Doctor Appointments

This seems to be the month for doctor appointments. I have a fasting blood test this morning. They are going to double check for Diabetes 2 along with cholesterol and many other things. Then I will go back next Friday and get the results. I am hoping for very good results. They usually are good but you never know I guess. We love our doctor. She is so understanding and listens to everything you have to say and is so down to earth in telling you things. You feel you can discuss anything with her. That is the kind of doctor it is good to have.

Running Errands

Boy did we get the errands run this morning. First we headed out before 7:30 am in fog to travel about 25 miles to get the car serviced at the dealer's. We were 10 minutes early and got right in and out. Then headed to the Veterans Adm. for my husband's 9:30 appt. Of course, we were very early and hardly anyone was there (and it is usually packed out) so he got in before 9 and we were on our way home early, before his original appt. In between the car and the VA we stopped & bought gas for $3.019, a bargain from our little town at$3.199. They we headed to the next town and picked up our income tax forms and found we owed at least $100 less than estimated, a happy surprise and plenty enough difference to cover the tax preparer's fee :0).Then picked up some sausage, egg and cheese crescents on sale at Hardees. Had those for breakfast and lunch or should say "brunch" and I headed to the grocery store to really stock up for the next probably 2 months except for basics -milk, bread, etc. Got that put away and cleaned up the garage and got the garbage ready to go and the mailman brought the mail. It has been a busy Wednesday and having company for lunch tomorrow so I'm ready.

Doctor Appointment

Doctor appointments become a way of life as you get older, it seems. My husband had another doctor appointment today 30 miles away and yesterday we thought we were going to have a blizzard today and wouldn't be able to go. But it stopped snowing and the sun came out and melted the ice and snow on the highway and the roads were actually quite good. We stopped in our favorite fast food Mexican place and ate and by the time we headed for home the wind had really come up and it dried off most of the highway. So that was good. I am glad we didn't have to reschedule that appointment. Now it is done and out of the way. Now for the dentist next.

Doctor Appointments

Boy, this making doctor appointments gets to be a regular job. You have the dental appointment. Eye appointments and eye, ear, nose & throat are some more. Then there are PSA, Dr. of Urology, regular 6 months checkups. The Veterans call you and set up more appointments for them to they you out so you can get some prescriptions from them much cheaper than the drug store. And of course, there is the dermatologist too that has to be set up every 6 months. It becomes a regular coordinators job to coordinate all the appointments.
