End of September
Here it is Fall and the last day of September. It would be my husband's 87th birthday today if he was alive. This is the 4th birthday I have missed him. It makes me very sad. I know he is having a wonderful time in Heaven. However, that does not help the loneliness and sadness of having him no longer here with me. We have had several beautiful great grandchildren during these years and have more on the way. I am blessed to have lived to see 17 and perhaps several more. Will see, I guess.

Mowing the Leaves
It is that time of the year again when the lawn is just covered with leaves. Just when you think you can put away the mower for the last time, you look out the window and see all the leaves that have fallen overnight. It just drives my husband crazy. So he got out the lawn mower one more time and put the mulcher blade on it and got out there and mulched up all the leaves. I have to admit the lawn looks very nice and I am sure the leaves make good fertilizer for next year's grass. However, I am glad I am not the one who had to go out there and mow it. I have had enough of mowing for this year :0)

Kids at Play
It is so much fun to watch little children at play. Especially if it is something new to them that they have never seen before. Here little great grandson decided to taste these strange things and big sister is helping keep them out of his mouth. I bet she had her hands full though. The first things little kids like to do is put everything in their mouth. It has been a beautiful fall to play in the leaves.

Leaves are Falling
The trees all turned beautiful colors around here and now most of the leaves have fallen off and they are blowing all over. We had a terrible strong wind yesterday that blew everything that moved. Today it is a little better but is very overcast and dreary after a beautiful sunrise this morning. It is going to be bitter cold tonight, in fact, it isn't very warm now. There is an auction in town today and one of our daughters is going to be there and is going to stop by and see us. That will be nice as she lives about 2 1/2 hours away.
