North Korea Starts Disabling Reactor

American nuclear experts in North Korea have begun work to disable the country's key nuclear facility, according to the US state department. Pyongyang agreed earlier this year to dismantle its nuclear weapons program in return for diplomatic recognition and economic aid. North Korea shut down its reactor at Yongbyon in July.

North Korea

North Korea says their nuclear reactor has been shutdown. Can we trust them to be telling the truth? They have now received the oil shipment from South Korea and they had promised in return to disarm. If this is confirmed by a U.N. team who will be inspecting the reactor, the shutdown would be the North's first step in nearly five years toward de-nuclearization.Let us hope it is true.

Yahoo shuts down Auction site

Yahoo, Inc., owner of the mosst visited U. S. Website, will close its online auction site in the U. S. after it failed to match the popularity of eBay, Inc. Yahoo, which is based in Sunnyvale, California, will stop taking listings on their site on June 3. They will continue to run auction sites in singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, however. I am sure there will be alot of people who will be disappointed. the last day of bidding will be June 16.
