Lightning Struck

The other night we had a terrific thunder and lightning storm. We had an inch of rain in the rain gauge when we got up. But about midnight it woke me up and I started unplugging the computer and antenna and anything else that could get hit. I had to shut all the windows too and our little dog, Holly, was really scared. I heard one boom of lightning that sounded like it hit close by and today we found out it hit a tree and split it just 3 houses from us. I could tell it was close and it scared me enough I just jumped in bed after going back to sleep.
