Birthday Pies

Yes, that is right. I said birthday pies. You know there are many people who do not especially like birthday cake or cake of any kind. I am not one of them, of course. However, we got to talking today about Birthday Pies. My husband is not a cake eater and he thinks they all have too much frosting and the frosting is too sweet. Gee, I thought that was some of the best part of the cake. But anyway I started making him raisin pies for his birthday and sticking a candle in the middle. Now they have entirely quit making raisin pie filling and he didn't especially like the homemade recipe I tried. So I guess he will have to choose another flavor. I think it will be peach as he really likes peach pie. I made a cherry pie this weekend and although he says he doesn't like it, he ate a couple pieces anyway :0) Who is he kidding?
