Microsoft Seeks Help For Yahoo Bid

It seems Microsoft has been unable to strike a deal on its own so they are hoping to snap up Yahoo's online search operations with the help of News Corp. and Time Warner Inc. This latest happening caused Yahoo's stock to rise more than 3 percent in Wednesday's sinking market even though there is only a remote chance of getting the deal. Does it seem to you that a great deal of large companies are trying to buy up more and more companies. Is someone watching to be sure they don't turn into monopolies which I thought were illegal. Investors in Yahoo aren't happy with the way their Chief Executive Jerry Yang is planning things. He has been there 14 years and unless something happens before the annual meeting Aug. 1, he could lose his job. Yahoo is vulnerable and Microsoft is working on that. Microsoft has been stalking Yahoo for as far back as 2006. Yahoo hasn't heard another formal proposal since June 8.
