I Miss Holly
Holly was the best little dog we ever had. She was a Boston Terrier but she had altogether different facial markers than most Boston Terriers. As you can see, she had an all white face with a little black circle on her forehead. She also had one brown and one blue eye which was quite unusual. But she was very smart. I got a book from the Library on training dogs and everything I taught her, she learned immediately. She loved to dance for her food. And if I opened the door to her kennel cab, she went in without asking her to. We had to put her to sleep August 25 due to health problems and the house isn't the same without her.

Pets are Like Family
You really get attached to your pets. They become almost like family members. Our little Holly followed me around the house wherever I went and slept by the computer. She slept in the bedroom on her own comforter and loved it. She loved to play with the grandkids and never once showed any sign of biting them no matter how much they rough housed with her. She would play till she could hardly breathe. But then she took sick and yesterday we had to put her to sleep after nearly 13 years of enjoying the best little dog we have ever had. She is missed.

Holly, Our Boston Terrier
Holly is 12 years old now and she has been losing weight. I checked out the Internet to find some information on what is wrong with her. I found great information and some holistic recipes for both her food and her dog treats. She is gaining back her weight now and looks better. She feels good and we are glad of that. I am anxious to have her weighed the next time we visit the Vet to see if she has truly gained weight or we just think so.

Boston Terrier, Holly
Holly's liver readings are too high. We have been giving her pills for it now for 7 days and they haven't done anything. So took her back to the Vet. He gave us some drops to put in her eye. She gets 2 drops twice a day and it is for diabetes. Although she didn't test for diabetes, he wants to see if this will help the liver. I think it may work as she hasn't had to drink as much water yet this morning. Keeping track of the number of times she goes out to pee. It seems to be less too so far. Sure hope this med works. Will call him tomorrow and then we have to go get the med and give her 2 shots a day. We
want to keep her around as long as possible.

Thunderstorms on the Way
The weatherman says we could see thunderstorms later this week. Our little Boston Terrier, Holly, really gets scared when she hears thunder. She sleeps on her afgan on a lazy boy chair in the bedroom and the minute she hears thunder, you can hear her feet hit the floor. Then she starts wimpering and pacing the floor. She sometimes will do that when there is a hard rain hitting the windows too. I feel sorry for her because there isn't anything you can do to comfort her.

Snoring
Do you snore when you sleep? My husband snores very loudly and always has. Now our little dog, Holly has begun to snore. And she really gets loud. Sometimes my husband hollars at her to wake her up because she is almost drowning out the television. It gets kind of funny sometimes.

Time for Bed
It is almost time for bed. My little dog, Holly, is already sound asleep but I will have to wake her up to have her sleep in her comforter on the chair in the bedroom. Since the operation on my knee, I have spent 3 nights mainly in my Lazy Boy Chair and it feels like I will be doing that for awhile yet. 6 weeks from now it will be lots better.

Boston Terrier Holly
Little Holly, our Boston Terrier, is lying beside me sound asleep. She is the best little dog. We can leave her alone for quite a few hours and she just sleeps till we get back. Sometimes, if it is longer, I have a couple of good neighbors who will come over and let her out. She is well-trained. Thursday, she goes to the Vet to get her nails dremelled and a flea treatment. We may board her a couple days next week. They love her there because she is so good.

Holly is Limping
Holly, our little Boston Terrier, is hurting somewhere. I don't know if she jumped off a chair or the bed wrong but she is walking kind of slow. She is paper trained out in the garage and she is walking down the steps kind of slow this morning and she won't jump up into your lap. She is 9 years old, and almost 10 so I wonder if she has gotten some arthritis in one of the knees she had operated on a couple years ago. They are almost like people in their illnesses. She has thyroid problems, so takes a pill a day for that. It seems if you have a pet long enough, you go through all kinds of things with them, much like yourself or kids.

Our dog Holly
Little Holly has been following me around all day. She is always hoping I have something to eat and will share it with her. I know it isn't good to give a dog "people" food but we sometimes do. This morning she wasn't feeling the best and I had to give her a spoonful of Maalox. Yes, just like people, it works on dogs too. She was feeling much better in no time. Now she is ready for bed and letting me know it so guess I will so along with her.

Bedtime
Our little dog, Holly, always lets me know when it is time to go to bed. She comes and sits by me at the computer and makes a funny little sound and then I know she is ready for bed. I have a nice warm comforter folded up and put in a lazy boy in the bedroom and she is ready to curl up in it as soon as we go in there. Sometimes she likes a drink of water first out of a dixie cup. She is a lot of fun.

New Bedspread
I finally got a new bedspread. I got tired of fighting with the bed sham and the comforter so I got a full bedspread and let Holly have the comforter for a bed in the Lazy Boy. She likes that very much. Anyway, I got a pink bedspread because I thought it would be a nice contrast to the room since everything else is blue but I wish I had gotten blue instead. But guess I will have to get used to it.

This Was Holly's Day
Holly loves to ride in the car but she doesn't get to do it too often. Today she had to go to the Vet but first we had some errands to do. We went to the bank drive thru and cashed a check and she stands there and stares at the teller because she knows she is going to get a dog biscuit. She was so excited. Then we went to the post office and also to UPS a package at the hardware store. She sat in the car really well. Then we headed out to the pharmacy and she got all excited again as she knew they would give her a dog biscuit too. She at it sooo fast. Then the owner of the store saw her and talked to her thru the drive thru window and gave her a 2nd biscuit. That really made her day.
Holly
Today was Holly's day to go to the vet and get her flea treatment. She also got her nails trimmed. They use the dremel to make her nails nice and smooth so there aren't any sharp corners to catch on everything. She is very good about it. She was pretty scared the first time they used it because of the noise but now it doesn't bother her at all. She is the best little Boston Terrier around and she is so much company for us. She will be 9 years old on Sept. 25. Hard to believe we have had her that long. She is a sweetie.

Bedtime
Well it's bedtime for Holly. I fold up a comforter and put it in the Lazy Boy chair and she makes her bed in it, scratching around until she settles down. In the wintertime she likes to get right under the comforter to keep warm. she gets a little vasoline before she goes to bed. They say it is good to pass the hair through their system that they get licking their paws. She is geting all settled in now for the night. She is the best little dog.
Holly
Holly is out little 8 year old Boston Terrier. She has been the best dog we have ever had. I need to get her to the vet this week and have her nails trimmed and get a flea treatment and some of her good oral dog food. It really keeps her teeth good and clean and it sure helps that she has good teeth. Our last little dog had really bad teeth. She loves to come in here and lay down beside me while I post on the computer.

Counting Down
Took Holly into the Vet and had her nails buzzed and picked both kinds of dog food we feed her. Got her flea treatment so she is all set. Trying to get everything done ahead of time as my hand surgery is only 7 days off now. There are really alot of things you can't do without your right hand especially if you are right handed. I have learned to run the mouse on the computer better with my left hand than with my right. It's awfully hard to brush your teeth, getting the toothpaste all over. Hard to dress and even hard to eat some things. Sounds like a month recovery this time. Was a week last time and that seemed like forever. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Nap Time
Here it is nap time and what am I doing. I am posting for cash with PPP. Even my little dog is used to climbing into my chair with me and taking a nap but today I am really busy with posts so she will have to wait a little while. The UPS man just brought a very big package and he just loves Holly and loves to play with her a bit while he stops here. He has gotten a French bulldog and Holly is a Boston Terrier. He's shown me pictures of his dog too. They are alot of fun and I better get done with this so I can go take a nap with Holly.

Holly's Stitches
We took Holly to the Vet today and they took out her stitches. I am sure that feels much better. She is starting to jump into the chairs again and act like herself. She even emptied her food dish and is drinking plenty of water. Happy she is getting back to normal again.

Our dog Holly
Little Holly is doing very well with her knee surgery. She really sleeps in every morning on the soft bed we made for her in a comfortable soft chair. Put in a nice soft blanket and she is sleeping on her sore leg this morning so I know it is getting lots better. She's starting to walk on that foot more too.
