Good Reports

My husband has been in the hospital all week. He was passing a great deal of blood. His blood count was getting low also. They put him through many tests, telling us the worst. Then he had a procedure this morning that contradicted everything they told us and we got a good report. That was a big relief. He has one more hurdle to cross and we are trusting God for another good report on any biopsies he has tomorrow or Monday.

Ambulance Call

When we arrived home tonight, the Police car was sitting in front of one of the homes. Also the local ambulance was also there. It turned out our neighbor girl, age 20, was having serious breathing problems. Her Mom had left a message on our phone. They had to take her to the hospital. She was born very premature and has a permanent feeding tube. When she catches any kind of a cold, it can be very very serious. I hope she will be alright.

Rudy Giuliani Heads Home From Hospital

Rudy Giuliani, Republican presidential candidate, was released from the hospital Thursday after spending the night to undergo tests for flu-like symptoms. He is 63 years of age and was to spend today off the campaign trail. Aides said he would make planned stops in New Hampshire on Saturday and Sunday. The former New York mayor felt the symptoms while campaigning in Missouri and they soon became worse. The symptoms resembled those being commonly associated with the flu.

Doctor's Appointment

Today we went to the doctor to see what is bothering my husband's leg. He has had to limp now for about three days. So he figured he better find out what the problem is. He will have an ultrasound in the morning just to be sure he doesn't have a blood clot in there. They think he probably pulled a tendon somehow and that is why it hurts.

Walter Reed Hospital

Last week it was decided that Walter Reed Hospital was no longer worth fixing. It has shoddy outpatient conditions and is no longer a worthwhile hospital. They blame alot of it on Pentagon neglect and money woes. An Independent Review Group did urge a quick infusion of money to relieve short-term problems. America has always taken care of its wounded and this is a shame. An independent group said that the Defense Department should have been aware or was aware of the widespread problems at the hospital and neglected them. Because of this, the hospital is scheduled for eventual closure. To top it off, the Pentagon made problems even worse by ordering a hold-down on costs and expenses, even as the hospital is experiencing an influx of thousands of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
