Mowing the Lawn
Well I think we finally mowed the lawn for the last time this year. At least I for one, hope so. It is not my favorite job. We got a fence around our lilac bush this year so the rabbits won't eat all the bark off it and kill it this year. It very nearly was dead this spring. It won't be long and we will need to bring in the rain gauge too and the hummingbird feeder so water doesn't freeze in them and break them.

The Lilac Bush
We had a beautiful purple lilac bush. It smelled so very good when it was blooming in the summer. Two years ago, the frost was late and it killed all the buds and we didn't have any lilacs at all. Then last year the snow was so high that the rabbits got way up the trunk of it and chewed off all the bark, killing it. But sprouts grew up and we wrapped them and we now have a good bush but we got some fence and we need to get it around it so the rabbits don't get it again this year.
