Chicken Marinara

My daughter makes all kinds of good food.  Chicken Marinara is one of my all time favorites.  She is sending some home with me.  I used to always  get it at this one restaurant until they closed.  You could always count on theirs being the best in town.  Glad my daughter is making different recipes.  I get to sample all of them.  Can't beat that.

Great Grandchildren

We had a great time with 5 of the great grandchildren last Friday night. We were celebrating a birthday in the family. Went to a great restaurant with great food. I had the best baked sweet potato that I think I have ever had. Anyway, when the kids were done eating, they decided to take over an empty booth by us and play they were eating and serving as waiters. It's a wonder the restaurant didn't kick us all out but by then it was late and business had really slowed down.

Mexican Night

Tonight we went out to one of our favorite restaurants. They have TexMex on Thursday nights. It was just packed out tonight. I didn't think we were going to get a table at first. It is very popular any night of the week. It is in a small town of about 3,000 I would guess and the people really support the restaurant. That is because their food is always good. Last week we went down on Wednesday to their 3 meat buffet and it was delicious.

Soft Shell Tacos

We went out tonight for TexMex at one of our favorite restaurants. I got soft shell tacos tonight for a change. I like to fold in one end of them and eat them like a burrito. Of course, I like plenty of hot salsa on them first. My husband got the regular tacos and he had so much lettuce he didn't know what to do with it all. Then his hard shells cracked and broke and it gets to be a real challenge to eat them. I think I will stick with the soft shells myself.

What a Great Birthday I Had

What a great birthday I had. Many of my kids got together at a fabulous restaurant and we had such a good time. The food was wonderful and the waitress was so helpful and fast. They had a huge menu to choose from. A daughter baked a chocolate cake with cream filling and white frosting along and we had that after we ate. Another daughter brought a Birthday balloon as you can see in this picture and put it on the table with a bag of (yum) double chocolate dipped peanuts. A good time was had by all and the cameras were clicking off the pictures to remember the occasion. It was so much fun.
