Blogs and Surveys

One way to keep busy is to blog.  You can sign up to blog for companies if you wish.  You can also sign up to answer lots of surveys.  Sometimes, some of them will send you a product to test for them.  I wish more of them would do that.  It is neat to get a new product that is going to come out for sale and they give you a chance to evaluate it before that.   Blogging can be fun and a way to pass time too.  You can write about anything such as your family, shopping, weather, the subjects are as many as you can think of. I like blogging.

Alterations and Running Errands

I have been busy running errands early this morning. I am very short and had to have some blouses shortened. I know a lady that does marvelous work and she is fast. She is also very reasonable in her charges. I went and picked up my blouses early this morning and she did such a nice job on them. She lives in the next town, so while I was there I stopped at the grocery store and picked up a few things I couldn't get here. It is a beautiful day to do these things.

Shopping

Yesterday was a fun day. My daughter drove over to spend the day with me and we had a great time. She lives about 2 hours away so it is quite a drive both ways. We went out for lunch to one of our favorite places and sat and visited. Then we went to several huge stores and did a lot of looking and a little shopping. We also visited the big Goodwill store and she got a bunch of cute Halloween pins to wear on her uniform. It was a great day.

Buying the Basics

I went out today because they had a sale and bought the basics. Some of those things were mouthwash, deodorant, Polident tablets and vasoline for our dog. I spent enough money to buy groceries for a week and didn't get anything to eat. You get paper towels, toilet paper, Reynolds wrap, ziplock bags, the town garbage bags and more stuff and none of it is food. But they are all things you need to stock up on now and then.

Gifts for Her

It is getting to be that time of the year again. We are beginning to count down the days on the calendar toward Christmas. And besides gifts for family, what about gifts for her? That special someone, wife, fiance, mother all deserve something special. By checking the Internet, you can find truly unique and beautiful gifts that every woman will love. Now is the time to start shopping. Don't leave it till the last minute.

Wii Accessories

Not only is the Wii a great deal of fun, but many people have found it is also a wonderful way to get extra exercise. Families really can get together and have so much enjoyment playing with the Wii. And in addition, there are so many wii accessories that you can obtain easily over the Internet. In addition, by shopping this way you can get the lowest prices available and save yourself quite a bit of money.

Grocery Store

Our grocery store is being completely remodeled. It has been going on since last fall and they are still working at it. They have completely re-done the parking lot and put in lights and stands for the grocery carts to go into. They have put a new sign on the front that really looks nice. It won't be long and they will be working on a new entrance. They are probably leaving that for last when it gets warmer outside.

They have added a new overhang so people can drive up and the helpers bring the groceries out to the car without anyone getting wet. That is a great addition. They have changed grocery carts too and have both huge and small ones. I love the small ones for quick trips to get a few things.

Right now they are working overhead in every other aisle putting in new heat and air conditioning runs. There will be new lighting too. They took some of the aisles on the south side and moved them to the north side. Presently they are building on a larger area so that the dairy section can expand out farther. It is really being modernized and we love it.

Jewelry

I have three family birthdays coming up in two weeks and I know all three of these women would just love a gift of jewelry. This fine store has been in business since l971 and has millions of satisfied customers both abroad and in North America. It is easy to see why they have shipped out 15 million products when you check out their website and get a good look at what they have to offer. You will not see it in the retail stores. It is exclusive at their site. Their fine craftsmanship has designed beautiful fashion accessories, along with so many gorgeous rings, necklaces, earrings and so much more. Any woman would love to own one of their designer watches or bracelets. I think it is time for me to get shopping, how about you?

Shopping for Groceries

My oh my, have the groceries gone up! It seems like I can barely get out of the store with the bare necessities of life without spending at least $40+ . They are even giving us a 10 cents rebate now if we bring in our own "green" bags or reuse the nice handle paper bags the grocery store uses. Someone sent me a little shopping bag in the mail the other day and I put it in the back seat of the car. I didn't know if I would remember to use it, but now I take it in with me every time I shop for groceries. I ran to the store a bit ago to get milk and you guessed it, I came out with lunch meat, washing soap, butter and a few more things and sure enough it was just over $40. Oh yes, they had pop on sale and I always buy it then as it is so much cheaper in the 12 packs of Pepsi when it is on sale. I try to buy a box of breakfast food too when they are on sale and I see the bread we use has almost doubled in price. I should never go to the store when I have enough time to look around as I see stuff I didn't think about buying when I left home.

Shopping

You either like shopping or you do not like shopping. There seems to be no inbetween. My husband does not like to shop unless we are out to buy something for him. Otherwise, he doesn't care to go. I do get him into the grocery store now and then but rarely. He told me he needs a new pair of flip flops. His are getting pretty worn so I suppose we will need to do that. We have a discount store here in our little town that may have some. If not, we will have to go to a bigger town to Wal-Mart I supposed.

Groceries

Are you noticing how the prices of groceries are climbing. Even just a loaf of bread has really gone up. I got up early as usual and was at the store shortly after they opened this morning and was back home in no time. Had a short list and no one is in the store, so you can hurry through and get what you need and get home again. I am ready for another busy (I hope) day of posting. It is a beautiful sunny day but very cold. Near freezing last night and not much better tonight they say but at least we don't have snow anymore.
