Class Reunion Luncheon

Went to my class reunion luncheon yesterday. We had 21 in attendance and was a nice group to get a lot of visiting done. We lost a classmate a couple months ago. His wife paid for the luncheon in honor of him and we all cheered and clapped for Franklin. We had a wonderful lunch. A baked dish and delicious salad, punch and a very chocolate brownie. I then went and had a great visit with my sister afterwards.

Shopping

Yesterday was a fun day. My daughter drove over to spend the day with me and we had a great time. She lives about 2 hours away so it is quite a drive both ways. We went out for lunch to one of our favorite places and sat and visited. Then we went to several huge stores and did a lot of looking and a little shopping. We also visited the big Goodwill store and she got a bunch of cute Halloween pins to wear on her uniform. It was a great day.

Visiting family

I need to get going this morning and go visit my brother. He had a knee replacement about three weeks ago. He has been in a physical therapy care center ever since. It has been very slow going as they cut the cartilage in his knee and sewed it back together. I guess this is one of 2 types of surgeries and it doesn't appear to me to be the best one. I have had 3 knee replacements and never had any trouble with any of them. He would love to be walking and get out of there and get home and I don't blame him one bit.

Took a Trip

Went to Minnesota today and visited with our family there. Held the baby and watched her play. They are so cute at 10 months old. Went to church and out to eat. Both were good. Had really great strawberry cheesecake later in the afternoon. Celebrating a birthday there, early. Got to see all the new work they have done to their home. It is really nice.

Family Visit

Sunday, my sister surprised us and came to church from 50 miles away. What a surprise to hang up my coat and turn around and there she was. She got there earlier than we did and went to Sunday School too. After church, we went to local drive in restaurant and ate inside and called my brother. He came with his friend and the 6 of us had a great visit. After lunch my sister came over and I went over some things on the computer that she wasn't too familiar with. She then dropped off some stuff for my brother at his house and headed for home. It was a beautiful warm sunny day and a good time was had by all.

Friday Night

We went to the fish/chicken fry tonight with our brother and sister-in-law from Wisconsin and another brother and sister-in-law from Clear Lake. We had a good long visit and then I found a beautiful key chain in the parking lot. I hope I can find the owner because I think it is something they would want back as it has writing on the back. The sun is so bright this time of the year it is just blinding driving west. It is dangerous as you can hardly see.

Funeral

We have to go to the funeral of my brother-in-law early this morning as it is a ways to drive. Our daughter is going to ride along with us. We will be staying after to eat in the Bethany Hall before coming home. That will give us a time of visiting with relatives too. It is almost like a family reunion, sometimes better. It's supposed to be good weather yet so we are lucky there. We have a one day window between bad storms it seems. Will be tired when we get home. Having the neighbor let our little dog out to go potty. She is a very good neighbor.
