Thanksgiving Fun
Had two Thanksgivings this year. The first one was with my daughter-in-laws family and so much delicious food. Then we played a game we all love to play and have so much fun doing it. Her mother brought a whole bunch of cookbooks that looked like new. We were able to take home any and all we wanted. I picked out 3 each for my twin girls. I know they will enjoy them. Then the next day we went to a grandson's home and there celebrated their little one year old's birthday and had treats, punch and cake. A couple hours later had another feast. I had a wonderful time. Now the cold has set in and it is only 9 degrees and the wind chill is way below zero. I am not going outside until tomorrow. It is supposed to start warming to the 20's. Doesn't sound like much but will be better than the terrible NW wind we have today. The sun is out and if you look out the window, it looks wonderful outside. But don't let it fool you. You will have frostbite in minutes or less.

Dedication Day
In our church we don't baptize babies, we dedicate them to the Lord. Here my little great granddaughter is all dressed up for her dedication. Afterwards, we all had a first birthday party at her folks. There was lots of food, enough for 3 times the people that were there. Then we had cake and ice cream. She really got into her own little cake with both hands. She had to have a bath afterwards. It was a lot of fun.

First Halloween
Isn't he just the cutest little guy with a big smile. It is his first Halloween. He wasn't sure what to make of the costume. He wanted to take off the cap. His folks brought him and his brother and sister over for trick and treat. They all three looked so cute in their costumes. He is going to be one year old next week. Saturday we will be going to his early 1st birthday party. That will will be fun.

Longevity
There is a great deal of longevity in my husband's family. His younger brother is 77. He is 82 and almost 83. He has 3 sisters. One lives in Texas and is going to be 93 in September. Another lives in Hubbard, IA and is 86. Wednesday his 3rd sister turned 90. Today her daughter is having some of the older relatives in for a small 90th birthday party for her. Both she and her husband are in the nursing home. He is 87. We are taking a 71 year old sister-in-law along with us to the party today.

It's a Birthday Circus!!

Our little great grandson had his 2nd birthday last week. His Mom is very talented and she did his party up in a complete circus theme. Everyone had a wonderful time. I wish we could have been there too. The food looked delicious as you can see here. Emry had a great time and a neat cake. Now he is waiting for his little brother to arrive next month. How exciting!!

Birthday Party for Great Grandpa

We had a birthday party early this weekend for great grandpa. We got together with some of our kids and their kids. We had a great time at a western style restaurant. They have lots of good food and plenty of it. They sang Happy Birthday to Grandpa and he got a beautiful special dessert for his birthday. It was a lot of fun.

Birthday Party
We celebrated an early 81 st birthday today for our brother-in-law. All of his children were there but his oldest son, and alot of the grandchildren. A good time was had by all and lots of good food. All the younger men got together and played a game of football out on the lawn. It was fun to watch them. It seems all the their grandchildren grew about a foot since we had seen them last.
