Crockpot Roast

I haven't made a crockpot roast for some time now so it is about time to prepare one again. It makes the house smell so good with the carrots, onions and potatoes. It is almost effortless once you get everything in the crockpot, you can go about your household chores and supper will be ready when you are. It makes for the most tender meat and wonderful gravy. I can almost taste it now. I bought two nice roasts today. I like to buy a big one and have the butcher cut it in half and wrap it for me and put one in the freezer for later. I can hardly wait to make one.

Crockpot Roast

I made a crockpot roast for supper tonight. We had to be gone this afternoon for a doctor's appointment so it was easy to brown a roast and put it in the crockpot this morning. That way when we got home I could add carrots, onions and potatoes and have supper on time. It makes the most tender roast and sliced thin, leftovers make wonderful roast beef sandwiches tomorrow. The gravy is always out of this world too and I love the veggies with the meat. It is all so easy and delicious too.

Supper is in the Crockpot

I have a nice roast and onions cooking away in the crockpot. It smells so good. You can smell the aroma all through the house. I plan to make mashed potatoes tonight instead of cooking them in with the roast. That will be so good with great gravy. I also want to make lettuce salad with miniature marshmallows and sweetened Miracle Whip. It is good for a change from the various dressings we like.
