Class Reunion Luncheon

Went to my class reunion luncheon yesterday. We had 21 in attendance and was a nice group to get a lot of visiting done. We lost a classmate a couple months ago. His wife paid for the luncheon in honor of him and we all cheered and clapped for Franklin. We had a wonderful lunch. A baked dish and delicious salad, punch and a very chocolate brownie. I then went and had a great visit with my sister afterwards.

Supper is in the Crockpot

I have a nice roast and onions cooking away in the crockpot. It smells so good. You can smell the aroma all through the house. I plan to make mashed potatoes tonight instead of cooking them in with the roast. That will be so good with great gravy. I also want to make lettuce salad with miniature marshmallows and sweetened Miracle Whip. It is good for a change from the various dressings we like.

Suppertime

It is almost suppertime. I am going to make some steak tonight with mashed potatoes and gravy. A good salad will go well with that and some fruit. Tomorrow is the big day for eating Thanksgiving dinner so should go lighter tonight. There is nothing like a good hot home cooked meal, is there? Last night we went out and ate so that was a treat too.

Steak and Salad

There is nothing better than a good tender steak and a good salad and baked potato. That is what we had for supper tonight. I have a Char-B-Que I got about 38 years ago that grills inside and is electric and works just like the day I bought it on sale at Sears. Sits on the counter. Easy to clean up. The steak was really tender. They have to have some fat running through them, otherwise they are tough.
